The International Organization for Migration (IOM… interested organizations are invited to submit project proposals for the provision of community-based reintegration assistance.
Call for Proposals
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is an intergovernmental humanitarian organization established in 1951 and is committed to the principle that humane and orderly migration benefits both migrants and society. IOM is currently implementing a regional program, “EU-IOM Joint Initiative for Migrant Protection and Reintegration in the Horn of Africa” (EU-IOM Joint Initiative) funded by the EU Emergency Trust Fund for Africa (EUTF). The program aims to contribute to facilitating orderly, safe, regular and rights-based migration through the facilitation of dignified voluntary return and the implementation of development-focused and sustainable reintegration.A component of this project is to support communities affected by irregular migration with the purpose to:
• Improve the community’s socioeconomic situation, including by creating employment and livelihood opportunities for migrant returnees and local communities.
• Enhance reintegration of migrant returnees and promote social cohesion.
• Contribute to reduce the root-causes of irregular migration.
• Ensure sustainability and functionality of the project beyond the programme implementation period.
In the framework of EU-IOM Joint Initiative for Migrant Protection and Reintegration in the Horn of Africa, interested organizations are invited to submit project proposals for the provision of community-based reintegration assistance. The proposal should contain information on the following a.) range of relevant services offered b.) Qualification and experience of relevant professional and technical personnel currently maintained c.) track record and experience of the organization in similar assignment including list of major partners d.) Other relevant information.
The project intends to target the following areas: Amhara, Oromia, SNNP and Tigray regions and Addis Ababa city administration. The list of targeted zones and weredas are annexed to the Terms of reference (TOR). The TOR and IOM’s technical and financial proposal templates can be collected from IOM Ethiopia website https://ethiopia.iom.int/current-vacancies
or IOM Office during weekdays, from 8:00 AM-12:30 PM (2:00 to 6:30 Noon Local time) or 2:00- 5:00 PM (8:00-11:00 after noon local time) from 10 – 25 February 2020. Proposals may also be submitted in person to IOM Special Liaison Office in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia Kirkos Sub-City, Wereda 8, YeMez Building 8th Floor Procurement and Logistics unit with attention to EU-IOM Joint Initiative program.
Deadline for Submission is 5:00pm, 09 March 2020. IOM reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal and to annul the selection process and reject all Proposals at any time prior to contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to affected organization.
