Since the mid-1970, CAFOD, SCIAF and Trocaire (CST- Together) have been working in Ethiopia partnering with both secular and faith based organisations. The new strategy approved in 2018 aims  to promote social justice through two pillar objectives ; namely Resilient Communities and Women Empowerment.

.1.         Overview of the Work

CST has planned to commission an independent study to understand what the key challenges of women and girls are in terms of risk, vulnerability, capacity, and any other issues that affect the day-to-day life of women and girls in the Resilient Communities Programme sites. The study will also assess the capacity gap within the CST programme and Partners staff to integrate and implement Women Empowerment within the Resilient Communities Programme.

2.         Application Requirements:

Applicants should demonstrate the following key requirements;

a)         Advanced University Degree (minimum Master’s Degree in gender studies, development studies, political science or other related fields)

b)         Proven experience in managing and  evaluating development program /projects integrating social and Economic empowerment of women

c)         Expertise in Gender analysis, Women Social and economic Empowerment theories and practices policies/projects/programs

d)         Experience in planning, design, preparation and delivery of gender equality and women empowerment strategies

e)         Capacity on assessing staff capacity and institutional policies on women empowerment

f)         Efficiency and effectiveness in terms of cost and timeliness
