For development of training manual for Cluster supervisors and School Directors inManaging the implementation of EGR at Cluster and school level

The overall objective of this consultancy service is to understand the current capacity status of cluster supervisors and school directors in EGR/W implementation at cluster and school level and based on the gaps to develop capacity development training package. For this purpose, it’s found essential to assess the capacity gaps of cluster supervisors’ and primary school directors and deputy directors regarding EGR/W implementation. The ultimate objective of this consultancy service is to build the capacity of primary school cluster supervisors and directors & deputy directors to improve learners’ outcome in EGR proficiency to the desired standards.

The five-year READ II project, funded by USAID, will improve the quality of EGR/W  instruction and student support, reaching out to children at risk of failure and dropout caused by cognitive, emotional and physical effects of hunger, violence, and displacement. READ II seeks to better equip cluster supervisors and school directors to build their capacity in order to support teachers with effective EGR/W instruction techniques in mother tongue and English languages.

In this regard, READ II requests technical assistance from a competent and experienced local consultant who can conduct Capacity need assessment of sample cluster supervisors and primary school directors in the six regions (Addis Ababa, Amhara, Oromia, Somali, SNNP& Tigray). Based on the findings of the needs assessment we need to organize capacity building training package for cluster supervisors and school directors. The local consultant will work under the supervision of READ II Senior Policy and institutional Capacity Specialist and Decentralized Systems Specialist.

  • Interested bidders must submit copies of their valid and renewed trade license, suppliers’ registration certificate, Tax Identification Number, VAT registration certificate, detailed physical address and other relevant supporting documents as a pre-qualifying criteria of this solicitation.

Qualifications and Work Experience:

The incumbent should possess advanced degree in language and Educational Planning and Management with rich  experience in executing similar consultancy services in  capacity building activities preferably:

  • Developing need-based training in any language;
  • Hands on experience on Mother Tongue curriculum development(preferred);
  • Experience on providing trainings for  cluster supervisors, school directors, teachers and other educational experts;
  • Experience in advising, coaching and mentoring educational experts, institutes, etc.
